Our expectations of our employees
Our employees’ attitude, behaviour and performance directly impacts and influences their safety and the safety of each other at work. We expect employees to:
- Hold each other accountable by challenging anything that they believe could lead to harm
- Start only when they have a clear and safe way to finish
- Stop and report if they are unable to follow plans or risk assessments
- Care for the safety and wellbeing of other team members
- Report accidents or near misses/hazards
Share, learn and improve
We must engage with learning to ensure we can improve by understanding what is working and what isn’t. This looks like:
- Learning both proactively and reactively from success and failures
- Responding to events with an intent to learn
- Recognising and celebrating successes
- Utilising the knowledge and skills of the experts closest to the work
