The UK wastewater and drainage specialist will maintain wastewater data loggers across the full Severn Trent region.

Severn Trent Water has selected OnSite, South Staffordshire Plc’s leading wastewater and drainage maintenance and repair specialist, to maintain its wastewater data loggers across its full supply region following a recent competitive tender process.

The midlands-based water and sewerage company has an extensive and growing number of data loggers in place across its network having installed them across a wide range of its wastewater assets to provide remote monitoring and alarm capability. Over the next few years, the company plans to add significantly to this fleet by installing a further 40,000 proactive alarm monitors.

Dr Steve Ovington, head of business development at OnSite commented:

“This sole supplier framework award represents a significant level of confidence from Severn Trent Water in OnSite’s ability to deliver high-volume, high-profile maintenance activities – engaging with their customers on a day-to-day basis and enhancing the customer journey experience.

“We are extremely pleased to be supporting Severn Trent Water in their ambitious programme of sewer network improvements which includes a combination of increased monitoring, more robust maintenance and ultimately the development of smart wastewater systems.”

Jason Dearlove, waste smart networks lead at Severn Trent Water added:

“Over the next AMP there will be a need for a robust approach to service and maintain our extensive and growing wastewater logger fleet in order to gain best performance from our network. We are delighted to have appointed OnSite to support this vital work and we look forward to working with their experienced team.”
