‘Team Queens’, comprised of staff from the Maxilofcial department at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup, have been raising money for the charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

Team Queens have successfully completed a ‘Mighty Hike’ from Brighton to Eastbourne through the beautiful South downs on a gruelling 26 mile walk.

OnSite Rail provided the welfare and transport for the hike free of charge for the day to support the efforts of the team.
Over four months the team have raised money through cake sales, bingo, silly sock competitions and are currently totalling over £4000!

The team said:
‘It was a great day and a massive achievement by Team Queens. We enjoyed it so much and feel great in raising so much money for Macmillian. We are now planning for next year’s adventure. Thank you to OnSite for providing the transport for the day and thank you to those who supported the event.’

James Sargent, Head of OnSite Rail added :
‘We were proud to support Macmillan and Team Queens by providing free transport for the hike team. Macmillan is a fantastic cause and OnSite is always looking for ways to give back to the communities in which we live and work.’

Well done to everyone involved.
