An employee from leading specialist wastewater contractor, OnSite Central, has been named as a finalist of the forthcoming Women in Utilities Awards 2025.
In an industry where women are underrepresented, the annual awards event, organised by the Womens Utilities Network, shines a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of women who are inspiring change across the utilities sector.
Catherine Henderson, Head of Compliance and QUENSH Systems at OnSite, has been shortlisted in the Business Champion (Utility) category, which celebrates the pivotal work that essential roles do to keep utility services running smoothly.
Catherine, who has worked within the water industry for 25 years, was shortlisted for being an exceptional leader and driving force behind health, safety, and sustainability in the utilities sector, playing a critical role in the operation and efficiency of OnSite.
Catherine commented: I am thrilled that I have been named a finalist in the 2025 Womens Utilities Network Awards, in the Business Champion category. It is a genuine honour to be acknowledged in this space and to stand alongside such inspiring professionals who are challenging norms and driving progress across our industry.”
Joel Stevens, Managing Director at OnSite Central, commented: “Cat is at the centre of health, safety, environment and quality within our businesses. She is a great communicator at all levels and turns strategic ambitions into operational reality. Cat is a popular member of the team and thoroughly respected by all.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 27 June at the Royal Lancaster in London.
