The team at OnSite have successfully achieved Silver FORS standard this summer.

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.

FORS operators demonstrate commitment to managing road risk, reducing environmental impact and improving operational efficiency, all of which improve overall fleet road safety and lessen the wider impacts of freight and fleet operations. FORS accreditation offers distinction and operational efficiency.

OnSite along with all of the SSI Services group strive for excellence when it comes to all aspects of safety at work. This is a great step in their goal of achieving Gold.

OnSite Transport Manager Kevin Carter said:

‘’As we run our own fleet of LCV and HGV across the UK, we needed to be conscious about the safety of vulnerable road users and our employees, whilst minimising our carbon footprint. Our FORS journey has been a great learning curve and it gave us the guidance to move the business forward. FORS enabled us to focus on improving our safety standard and increasing employee engagement. We found the training very valuable and the eLearning made regular training simple to manage while the classroom SUD course highlighted the dangers for HGVs driving in an urban environment.”
