The UK drainage specialist is awarded a place on new multi-supplier 2-year contract with potential 2-year extension

OnSite, South Staffordshire Plc’s specialist wastewater and drainage business, has been appointed by Ongo Homes to its new drainage services and works framework following a recent competitive tender process.

The North-Lincolnshire based not-for-profit organisation which provides 10,000 homes, needed a framework of contractors to provide planned and reactive services for their property portfolio to improve and upgrade drainage systems.

The contracted work includes a wide range of drainage services including planned maintenance, CCTV drain surveys and reports, drain repairs including patch repair, pipe re-rounding, root cutting, drain re-lining, the renewal and re-bedding of manhole covers and slabs, drain and manhole inspection and testing and, gutter clearance and cleaning.

Pauline Smith, Area Maintenance Manager at Ongo Homes commented: “It’s really important for us that the homes we provide are in optimum condition for our customers and taking proactive steps to both react to drainage issues and look after our drainage assets through planned cleansing and routine maintenance is key part of this.

“We welcome OnSite as a new contractor to our business and look forward to working with their team moving forward.”

Tom Rochford, national operations manager (drainage), at OnSite added: “It can be easy to underestimate the impact of neglecting drainage assets, so it’s great to see Ongo Homes prioritising this important service to benefit both their tenants and wider local communities. We are delighted to have been appointed and can’t wait to get started.”

This is the latest of a series of appointments for OnSite in the commercial sector, with clients benefiting from OnSite’s 45 years of experience and expertise from working within the UK water and wastewater sectors and its new and innovative approaches to reduce drainage incidents and issues. Nationwide and offering a 24/7 365-day service, OnSite also has the skills and credentials to work on and in confined drainage systems.
