OnSite, a leading provider of specialist contracting services, is thrilled to have recently achieved gold status membership of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS) is a virtual platform that offers training and resources to help businesses demonstrate to clients their commitment to sustainability by upskilling employees in how businesses can deliver a sustainable future. Learning covers the three core pillars of corporate sustainability i.e; environmental, social and economic factors, focusing specifically on issues such as carbon and climate change, social value and sustainable procurement and how they are vital components in achieving a truly sustainable business model.

To achieve the gold level of membership, OnSite submitted a case study detailing the challenges of decreasing fuel costs and carbon emissions from OnSite’s fleet and the work they are doing to achieve this over the next four years. They also demonstrated their commitment to continued professional development in sustainability by colleagues regularly accessing training resources including e-learning, interactive workshops and webinars.

David Offord, sustainability and environmental co-ordinator commented: “Achieving gold membership status with the SCSS marks another milestone in our journey to Net Zero. It means that we can take responsibility as a business, work more collaboratively and show our clients how we are engaging in improving our sustainability knowledge and awareness to help us deliver a sustainable future.”
